The Dark Side of Nature Herself Now Available.
We are delighted to present the latest artwork from Angy Anvedaño: “Luna”.
The painting is a reproduction of an ink-traced portrait of a young woman at night. Although her eyes are closed, she is not asleep. Her long hair starts to merge with the surrounding nature. By doing so, Angy´s artwork wants to confuse the border between nature and humanity.
>> This piece represents the rhythm of time as it embodies the female cycle. Captured in this never-ending cycle, we have to accept and celebrate this magical time of the month. We need to strive for immortality, eternity and enlightenment.
Alternatively, some may think this is the dark side of Nature herself. <<
This piece should represent our striving for a deep insight into the true nature of life. It should remind us to achieve good karma and live in harmony with the elements surrounding us. Something we may can’t change but need to accept.
“Luna” is part of the current collection of Angy Avedaños female empowering pictures. Her artwork focuses on women as protagonists. She celebrates the incredible achievements of women in our society. Her art invites women to continue breaking the gender barriers and glass ceilings.
>> Although I live in a land which had female presidents, the fight for equality seems sometimes exhausting and far from over. <<
